Microsoft announced that a Bing application tailored for Apple's beloved iPhones has hit the virtual shelves of its longtime rival's online App Store.

Microsoft has discussed paying News Corp. to remove its news Web sites from Google's search results and list them on its Bing search engine instead, The Financial Times reported Sunday on its Web site.Microsoft also approached other major online publishers about removing their sites from Google, the report said.
News Corp. initiated the discussions with Microsoft, the report said, citing an unnamed person close to the talks. The person said discussions are in early stages.

If you haven't noticed, Bing and Google are engaged in a tit-for-tat over which search engine has the best features.
On Wednesday, Bing unveiled new and improved tools like Wolfram Alpha integration, Facebook Previews and full-page weather reports. Then Google hit back on Thursday with enhanced movie listings and even safer SafeSearch.

Bing and Wolfram Alpha, the Decision and Answer engines are working together as reported in August this year that they are planning to have Wolfram Alpha's results appear in Bing search results.Now with Wolfram's Alpha computational knowledge integrated into Bing, search results relating mathematical formulas, nutritional information or body mass index (BMI) will be displayed.

While roaming around YouTube, searching for Microsoft's ads, I stumbled across this Bing video advertisement. It seems as though Microsoft is coming up with weirder and weirder ads. This one uses special video effects showing the vampire moving quickly like the Cullens in Twilight. Come to think of it, I find it quite cool.
